"Leonore"... is something totally new! Amidst the many organic shapes in Sheila Westera’s *Conversation Pieces* collection, such as her pure series—where the design is guided by the natural form of a stone—Sheila often finds inspiration in something entirely different. She has always been drawn to the Bauhaus movement, with its clean and minimal forms and if you have looked closely at her work over time, you’ll notice that she has used these influences sometimes, in her use of triangles, circles, and squares for the stones that she selects. Now, Sheila has introduced a new series to her collection, which is named Candid, in where you'll find squares, or slightly rectangular forms. Leonore, is a bold and refined ring featuring a stunning, high-quality amethyst with sparkling facets. She is more than a cocktail ring, she is a treasure, embodying Sheila’s unique ability to keep creating jewels with a different vibe. This beauty showcases her distinctive raw glamour style, and for this technique she has used a slightly more weaving approach, although recognisable but unmistakably her own. Sheila’s artistry doesn’t follow the typical rules of craftsmanship, which often rely on repetition and instructions. For her, every piece she creates with her own hands and mind must have its own personality and entirely unique vibe in a technique that's she owns. This philosophy can be found back all through her Conversation Pieces collection and it makes Leonore, a ring to be cherished forever—a true one-of-a-kind jewel that is both timeless and strikingly original.
