"Die Jagd" ... A world of mass-produced meat.. a phenomena that's shocking in itself. Animals confined to small cages, living an unnatural and painful life. Part of a system of convenience that leaves many blind to the harsh realities of industrial farming.
As an animal lover, I find this a deeply complex and troubling. While the act of hunting may seem appalling, but a life lived freely and naturally, with a connection to our life cycle, just seems more natural. Perhaps the true path forward is not to choose one over the other but to eat less meat and approach our choices with a much greater awareness and respect for the lives that we consume.
