Power of Gold
"Power of Gold" ...This brooch draws inspiration from some important overlooked forces. A tree trunk, once washed up on a lake shore after a violent storm, inspired the shape, emphasising resilience and essentiality, whereas the glossy wire structure on top, symbolising the societal power of gold. Both sustain us in different ways—one is giving us life, the other driving economies. The base of the brooch is made of deer parchment, and black wax, symbolising yet another layer of darker moods. There is more than meet the eyes.
