"Szoo"... a unique name for a unique Amber stone ring. Large and chunky, rough and raw, only in the most charming way... The cognac-coloured Baltic amber, is set into a design entirely on its own. As always with Sheila Westera's Conversation Pieces collection/ the Pure series, the stone came first — after where she feels the need to follow its natural curves and by using one of her own invented techniques. This particular technique, used here in this wonderful statement ring, is called Possession — named for how it all began. Years ago, Sheila wanted a ring around a stone that she loved, but nothing out there ever felt right in style. So she invented her own way and the rest is history.
Set beautifully in 14k rose gold-filled, gives this pure amber beauty real presence — the rawness as described above is simply meant in the way she often likes to finish a piece, which is sometimes fine and sometimes courser however it feels right to her and how a stone speaks to her.
