As an animal lover, Sheila finds this deeply complex and troubling. While the act of hunting may seem appalling, she sees a life lived freely and naturally, with a connection to our life cycle, as more respectful. This brooch suggests that perhaps the true path forward is not to choose one over the other, but to eat less meat and approach our choices with greater awareness and respect for the lives we consume.
