Iksha

"Iksha" ...These one-of-a-kind dangling earrings are part of my Conversation Pieces collection and belong to the Eye See You series. Set with black onyx, they carry one of the forms that have followed me for most of my life: the eye. I have drawn eyes since childhood. Eyes are the window to the sould they say, well, I just love to look people into the eyes. 

With Iksha, I wanted to translate that familiar shape into a pair of contemporary earrings with presence, character and a slightly playful edge. The eye form gives them something watchful and expressive, while the black onyx adds depth and a quiet boldness. They are light enough to wear with ease, yet striking enough to change the whole feeling of a face.

Like all my pieces, these earrings were created intuitively and are entirely one of a kind.
