Ophelia
‘Ophelia’... is quite an interesting necklace with a strong appeal but elegant at the same time and the good thing is that this tasteful and deep exciting jewel, is also very wearable! The many raw stones, that grace this beautiful stiff choker jewel, come in a variety of stones, some in soft pastels and some were deliberate chosen to be of a darker colour. Sheila Westera loves the contrast, and the play in colour, slightly different shapes, materials and styles, ensuring for each jewel to be a true one-off style with its individual character, although always connected to her obvious signature style, which is ingrained within her soul. Nature lays at the heart of her work, and mostly about organic structures and natural stones, that together make for a raw luxury appeal, as not seen before. For part of her life she was dedicated to the fine jewellery field, and in some periods, next to her studies, so when life decided for her to become a jewellery artist, she wanted to make sure that her jewels had to be different than most jewels out there, which led her to invent her own techniques and style. For this necklace Sheila wanted a mutual feel for each individual created stone pendants, so they are connected to her unique possessions technique, executed in three metals; a combination of blackened silver, 14 kt yellow and rose filled. This amazing necklace is balanced, intriguing, and a lust for the eye, in the most subdued way possible, and yet she is the ultimate party jewel, and can be worn at each moment of your choice because of her versatility.
