Matters of the Heart
Matters of the Heart... She is quite something! Her strong and bold appeal, she is a statement, and almost a triangle shape. Her soft nuances in yellow gold, are combined with small white pearls to one side and and ice blue calcedony set to the other side. Sheila Westera creates entirely from wire, and it evolves while creating. She names it an organic process, because when she creates, she works from a mood of the day, which could be triggered by a form, by a certain stone, or simply from an idea that had sprung from her mind. It's uncontrollable, and a magical process, which comes and go. Each time that she creates something new and unique comes to life, created by using her own techniques, which took her years to evolve. She makes sure right from the start, to never imitate anyone, it's her passion to stay true to her own values and visions, which is giving her the freedom that she is after. The unique shape of 'Matters of the Heart', can be worn at different lengths, although Sheila prefers her to be worn at her maximum length to make her the most attractive, and when you look at the model wearing the piece, she wears a version with a longer and thinner necklace... and Sheila wanted her to be shorter, and so she created a unique chain necklace just for this treasure only. She now has the perfect length, which is about approximately 10 cm shorter than seen in the photo of the model. The strong shape, together with the soft ands small beads and pearls, make for a wonderful contrast, the bold and the soft, the yin and the yang, the balance has to be perfect to her.
