Splendid
"Splendid" ... resplendent, glorious, splendiferous, exquisite! This is a very special one-of-a-kind ring, that evolves around a raw dioptase stone and the structure that's built around it by Sheila Westera. The one-off orb like ring was organically formed and designed by Sheila's hands. Her creations are often unplanned, as they are often inspired by her daily mood, and since living in the Swiss Alps, she is surrounded by the roughness of nature, where she indulges herself even more with the raw vibes of nature. Her structures are inspired by the shapes and formation of rocks, by lichen, or clouds, and in fact about anything that speaks to her. She doesn't copy shapes, she is only inspired by it, a feeling or impression it has given her. This wonderful large, bright and deep green raw stone made her fantasy run wild, as the emerald like colour is totally amazing. The relatively brittle stone needs protection and that's what Sheila created, protected by her self invented intricate structures. For ring 'Splendid', several small white moonstone beads are sprinkled into its web making this unexpectedly glamorous jewel a work of art, or? That's up to you, but for sure that she is a glamorous statement jewel! As in Art, she is the kind of piece that can be a sculpture, to be put onto your dresser, just for you to look at. The name Splendid is obviously chosen well, and now you know why!
