"Kiri"... This is a stunning raw style statement ring, and very different than most. The rough and organic stye is filled with interesting 'objects' ranging form a piece of pure and raw copper to a glossy marbled jade stone. Her shape appears to be deriving straight form Earths depts, as she appears to be kind of outer worldly, only with a more glamorous appearance. The small variety of stones that Sheila Westera has used a chunk of raw copper as a base, and by adding a polished soft green jade bead, a raw korund, with a lovely deep blue shine to it, next to a more glossy faceted blue Apatite, which put the extra elegance into this jewel. Sheila has shaped and formed this jeweller artistic structure with her hands, resulting into a highly organic shape, that is simply beautiful and interesting. She is more extreme in appearance than most of her jewels, but in its core what Sheila's work is all about... a style that is engrained within her soul, therefore each structure she builds, wether it is fine, highly glamorous or more raw and organic, it all comes naturally to her. Stones, inspire her to keep creating her most interesting jewels, and ring Kiri happens to be related to Opera, a genre that she loves, this ring came about when she was listening to music from Kiri te Kanawa, a female Opera singer that she started listening to when she was a young adult. So, ring Kiri, comes with an extra dramatic appeal, and Sheila loves this! A truly mesmerising beauty created around a piece of raw copper and rose gold, by sprinkling stones into her she has become even more captivating and this wearable art piece, is clearly a jewel at another level.
